About Us

Pacific EV was born out of the requests of the general public. Steve Lough, president of the Seattle Electric Vehicle Association (SEVA) for over 26 years, as well as others in SEVA have spent countless hours at shows, festivals and even in parking lots at grocery stores, educating people and spreading the word about the benefits and advantages of electric vehicles.

SEVA is a wealth of knowledge for do-it-yourself people, but when people would ask Steve where they could go to have someone do a conversion for them, he did not have many good options for them.

So he brought the public request to SEVA members and started discussions on what a conversion service for the general public would look like. Seventeen core people spent multiple months meeting and crafting a business plan that would provide electric conversions to fleets as well as individuals.

So on March 18th, 2009 four of the core members opened the doors of Pacific Electric Vehicles to the public; while most of the original core group has stayed on to serve on our Advisory Board.

Our thanks go out to all who have helped make the original request of the public a reality.

Each of us has our own reason why electric vehicles are our passion which we would love to share with you if you would like. But whatever brought you here to check out electric vehicles, we hope that you too will make it your passion and help spread the word to the world.
